This study aims to examine the formation of JwaㆍWoo-bo(左ㆍ右輔), Jwajang (左將 : the supreme commander) and jwapyeong(佐平 : 1st offical rank).
It could be said that JwaㆍWoo-bo were lifetime official jobs. Close relatives of king and members from a politically powerful group in the Bu(部 : section), have been appointed to the past of JwaㆍWoo-bo. There might have been possibility that JwaㆍWoo-bo managed the affairs of state and the military. Since the period of king Goi(古爾王 : 234~286), the members from growing powerful group cooperating with the the royal authority were appointed to be JwaㆍWoo-bo.
The status of Jwajang was the first specialized official post to manage the whole military affairs. It has been thought heavily that the close relationship between Jwajang and the royal authority. The base to strengthen the royal authority and expand the territory have been made by establishing the post of Jwajang. The historical records saying about the past of Jwapyeong in the period of king Goi tells the fact that some parts of Jwapyeong and Sol groups (率系 : 達率~奈率) as Gwandeung(官等 : official rank) were founded. The post of Jwapyeong, which was set up in the period of king Goi, took charge of the affairs of state. Like the case of Jwajang, it has been relatively emphasized that the relationship between jwapyeong and the royal authority.
