In order to understand the tourism potentiality and golf users’ recognition in the southern area of Donghae, Gangwon-do, Korea, related to the development of golf courses for local tourism activation, below issues can be acquired after this research through average analysis and distribution analysis.
First, private investment desire for tourism development is so low that more active and systematic support is required to activate private investment for sport tourism in future. Second, as far as the sport tourism activation by means of golf courses is concerned, the method should be established to give direct benefits to local residents’ economics and minimize inconvenience in their life.
Third, through golf courses, the method should be found deeply to absorb them such as job creation and consume activation.
Lastly, because all groups expect that golf courses would be beneficial to local economics, schemes should be found for local business selection and local resident employment in order for local business or residents to secure the market opportunities.
