Intense competition is prevalent in the global logistics market due to environmental changes such as globalization, rapid information exchange and global warming, including recent global financial crisis. In such a reality, international logistics companies are promoting innovation; gradual or radical transformation in objects, thoughts, progress status and services, in order to sustain their businesses.
To establish the innovation as a mean to surmount difficulties of international logistics companies, this study focused on the network improvement by promoting business networks, and offers some implications to hardworking companies through empirical research.
As a result the study demonstrates that among network promotion factors of international logistics companies, in order of the use of IT, resource recognition and organizational learning provide positive(+) influences on network enhancement. International logistics companies should manage the identified influence factors in order to accomplish network enhancement. The study also provides justification on the network enhancement promotion as measures to realize the innovation by identifying the network enhancement that inflicts positive(+) influences, which is the essential mission for sustainability of international logistics companies.
