For the past ten years, the economic growth rate has been above 6% because of increases in demand, foreign investment and imports. As the Indian economy has been upraised, Japan, the EU and ASEAN as well as Korea are negotiating a new FTA with India, and not only China but also Russia is executing co-research with India. Korea is entering into a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement at present. The 3 times rise of trade scale between Korea and India from 2002 until 2006 encourages them to contact CEPA as a new systemic structure. For these reasons, this article analyzes Indian industrial policy and structure, and shows the present state of trade between Korea and India for the purpose of preparing for contracting CEPA. Also this paper classifies trade volume by items of specialized export, items of specialized import, insufficiently competitive items, and protected items. In the results of this analysis, communications equipment is occupied with about 1100 million dollars, that is 24% of the amount of exports to India, and textiles, garments, leather products is analyzed as the most items that are occupied with about 620 units.
