The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of 24 type Tai chi chuan training on isokinetic peak torque(knee joint) and health fitness. Research subjects were 16 middle aged women. They were divided into two types of groups; experimental group(n=8 ) and control group(n=8). Observation variable was pre, 12weeks test in two time, isokinetic peak torque(knee joint) and health fitness test was flexibility, muscle strength, muscle endurance, Cardio-respiratory fitness. Two-way mixed ANOVA with repeated measure were used for analyzing the data. Results found from such a comparative analysis study were as follows; Isokinetic peak torque variation was showed a statistically significant difference at two types of groups by pre, 12weeks test in left flexor(ρ<.01) and right flexor(ρ<.001)·extensor(p<.05) of 60°/sec. Between group showed a statistically significant difference at left flexor(p<.01) and right flexor(ρ<.05) ? extensor(ρ<.05). Interaction effect of the isokinetic peak torque was showed a statistically significant difference at left and right flexor(p<.01). Flexibility(p<.001), muscle strength(ρ<.001), Cardio-respiratory fitness(ρ<.01 of health fitness variation was showed a statistically significant difference at two types of groups by pre, 12weeks test. Between group wasn"t showed a statistically significant difference at all. Interaction effect of the flexibility(p<.001),muscle strength(p<.001), muscle endurance(p<.01), Cardio-respiratory fitness(p<.05) of health fitness was showed a statistically significant difference. In conclusion, it could be to investigate the effects of 24 type Tai chi chuan training through improvement of isokinetic strength(knee joint) and health fitness factor in the middle aged women.
