With the accelerating rate of urban growth, urban green space corresponding smaller，Building outside the walls’ vertical greening of urban land to increase the rate of urban greening，balance adjustment on the ecological environment. Building vertical greening requirements the technical. Excellent vertical greening effect in addition to the establishment, that also need a stable technology based on design techniques for expression. From the design techniques, selected literature research and case analysis, through research examples of examples to analyze the status and characteristics of vertical greening of building walls at China and abroad, further pointed out that the characteristics of Chinese and foreign vertical greening and the problems in the vertical greening. Finally, the conclusion: China"s construction vertical greening, sustainable, energy saving, the Government should foster and multi-media campaigns, to jointly promote the development of vertical greening industry.
