This research aimed to examine the influence of general university students’ regular Taekwondo training both on the pelvic limb isokinetic muscular strength and muscular function. 20 students were selected and divided into two groups; one for having not exercised(n=10) and the other for having trained continuously. To see the group difference, both the mean score and standard deviation were calculated by using PASW Statistics 18.0 statistical program Also, independent t-test was implemented to verify the group difference. All significant level was set p<.05. The research results revealed that the muscular strength of Taekwondo training students was higher at the angular velocity 180°/sec(p<.05) and 240°/sec(p<.05) of the knee joint isokinetic extensor muscular strength. Taekwondo training students have also scored higher muscular strength at the ankle joint isokinetic lower curve angular velocity 130°/sec right ankle joint(p<.001), angular velocity 120°/sec right ankle joint(p<.001), left ankle joint(p<.05). At the test of the pelvic limb muscular function, students who have trained Taekwondo reported higher muscular function significantly(p<.05). Therefore, it is regarded that continuous Taekwondo training along with kicking and doing steps was effective both on (1) improving the extensor muscular strength and curve muscular strength of the knee joint and (2) maintaining the plantar flexion and pelvic limb muscular function of the ankle joint.
