This study aims to examine the regulation on the use of Korean, especially the 12th clause of ‘the Regulation of Standard Korean Pronunciation(Pyojunbareumbeop)’. There are two problems in the Regulation of Standard Korean Pronunciation: (1) the formal structure of 12th clause, (2) the description of phonological process. The results of this study indicate that there are some mistakes within the regulation, for example, wording, example, disposition, etc. I hope that these problems will be solved through the revision of the regulation.
