The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between exercise and multi-disciplinary health factors. Subjects for this study were 300 men and 300 women aged over 55years living in 15 different urban and suburban areas. Subjects completed a questionnaire about various health factors (derived from the fields of food and nutrition, nursing, health management, and physical education). Independent variables were sex, location, and exercise and dependent variables included nutritional conditions, eating habits, food satisfaction, quality of sleep, excrement, daily activity ability, pain · discomfort, depression, life satisfaction, health conditions, health consultation frequency, social support, alcohol · tobacco consumption, leisure activities, loneliness, exercise, physical fitness, history of falling, and balance efficacy. Statistical analysis was conducted through logistic regression analysis and regression analysis via the SAS 12.0 (p<0.05).There was a positive relationship between exercise and the health factors in the following order: balance efficacy, physical fitness, social support, life satisfaction, weight, goodeatinghabits, low levels of pain or discomfort, infrequency of depression, daily life activities. These results indicate that exercise have relationships with not only physical fitness but also eating habits, as well as mental and social health.
