This study, first, looked into how members of organizations currently engaged in the social (alternative) economy such as social enterprises, community businesses and cooperative associations would recognize community spirit and second, discussed how different those ideas of the members are from actual goals and details of the government trying to realize communities using the social economy. Third, through a discussion over the real status of how the social economic organizations would operate, the study argued that unless the members internalize the neo-liberalistic ruling orders practicing democratic, self-regulating and autonomous operation principles or if the members are not allowed to actually practice the principles, it is rather impossible to (re-)form an alternative economic society. Fourth, the study suggests that if we want this alternative community movement to be led to a social relation with a new subject and different living method-based production, not only should we transform the capital-centered economic paradigm into a labor-centered economic paradigm that would respect value of social labor which is social contributions and devotions but we should also expand common wealth and public areas which would eventually change the social ecosystem in general.
