With the development do industrialization and modernization, the people`s living environment si getting worse increasingly. The people are more and more hungering for closing and returning to nature with a view to relieve the inner anxieties. On order to meet the essence of returning to the nature and taking to green, we should organize the inner space by natural as possible, and strengthen the fusion between inner space and outdoor environment to shape natural room.
Today, as a result of the reflection to industrialization and modern design thinking, the concept of design has been changing, which lays an emphasis on the thinking of “learning from nature” and “designing for people” . And then, ecological environment, architecture and indoor space are becoming the mainstream of design. In despite of complicated design means and new characteristics, the design means takes on a tendency to pay much attention to the expression of natural elements and to meet the demand for healthy and ecological life.
On the basis of deeper analysis of background, technological backing and functions of natural design, this thesis probes into the connotation, means and applications of natural design. Meanwhile, taking hotel as a breakthrough point and proceeding with the application of natural elements, the thesis gropes for natural design of modern hotel in practice.
