ABSTRACT Rapid economic development and industrialization brought modern style of diet, fast food and increasing amount of meat which can be caused as a nutritional unbalance. This leads to the increase of social costs and an urgent situation on improving people’s dietary life. Based on this fact, this study examines how the participation motivation of the temple food influences the program satisfaction and happiness. A convenience sample of subjects was obtained from participants who attended the temple food education in DongwhaSa and Natural Food Institution. Data were collected through on-site surveys by face-to-face interview for 25days. Three hypotheses were examined to represent the relationships between motivation, program satisfaction and happiness. The proposed hypotheses suggested that there are significant and positive relationships between motivation, program satisfaction and happiness. A statistically significant and positive relationship between motivation and program satisfaction suggested that participation motivation influences the level of program satisfaction. At the same time, program satisfaction increased the level of happiness.
