Objectives : The purpose of the study is to investigate the relationship between the removalof halitosis and use of oral hygiene devices.
Methods : A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by 300 patients visiting to dental clinicsin Gyeonggi-do from May to June, 2013. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics,oral health related characteristics, satisfaction of oral hygiene devices were measured.
Results : Halitosis accounted for 11.0% in dental clinic visit. In order to remove halitosis,dental floss is the most satisfactory and effective method of all auxiliary oral hygiene devices.
Conclusions : A variety of auxiliary oral hygiene devices are being sold and used to removehalitosis. It is important to choose the most effective oral hygiene devices to remove halitosis.
