To make research on The Changes in Types and Policy Characteristics of Industrial Park in Korea which were driven for national economy and regional balanced development, four types of industrial park nationwide were divided into the matrix structure: the policies for supplying industrial park according to the size of industrial facilities and the market demand for industrial facilities according to the level of supply of industrial sites, and the analysis of the characteristics of industrial park by each type, policy analysis on industrial parks according to their location, and the correlation between industrial park and socio-economic indicators.
Therefore, in the future industrial park supply policies should be formulated and implemented reflecting flexible market demand, which efficiently utilize land resources and promote economic activities. In other words, this study proposes to establish and implement industrial park supply policies and support measures appropriate for each type of The Vital Areas, The Reserved Area, The Potential Area, and The Non-Vitalized Areas which are categorized by industrial park supply policies and the size of market demand. In particular, to align the supply policy of industrial park with market demand, which has a strong political purpose of regional balance, the supply policy of industrial park should be implemented in conjunction with the promotion of specialized and delayed industries by region.
