This study examined the married immigrant women’s rearing attitudes and lifestyle education for their children in multicultural families through in-depth interviews. Eight multicultural mothers participated in this study from February to April 2019. The countries of origin of the participants were China, Japan, the Philippines, and Vietnam. The average age of the participants was 39, and all except one had graduated from high school or higher. The main results of examining the research participants’ attitudes toward rearing children are summarized. First, the participants’ attitude toward rearing their children involved an autonomous and affectionate parenting attitude and an affectionate and controlled parenting attitude. The participants used both Korean and the language of their country of origin when talking with their children. The cooperation and role of the participant’s husband in child rearing appeared to involve complex factors. In rearing children, the greatest difficulty was that they lacked Korean language skills, but the advantages of being a foreigner were that their children could learn their native language or visit their home country. Second, all children chose comfortable clothes to wear and take off and be active regardless of gender. Although most of the participants were not good at Korean cuisine, they paid attention to the health of their children and made efforts to cook their children’s favorite foods. All of the children’s sleeping hours ranged from 9 to 10 hours. All of the participants placed particular emphasis on handwashing for their children. Third, the differences in child-rearing attitudes and lifestyle education of children between Korea and the participant’s country of origin varied according to the country of origin and were closely related to the culture of the participant’s country of origin.
