Purpose: This study was a cross-section study to investigate the relationship between self-esteem, emotional intelligence, and the concept of a good death. Methods: The subjects were 178 nursing students in 1∼4 grade of one institution university nursing department located in Chung-buk. The data were collected from September 1 to September 10, 2020. As a measurement tool, self-esteem, emotional intelligence, and the concept of a good death were used. Data analysis was performed using a t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, and Pearson correlation coefficients in the SPSS/WIN 25.0 program. Results: The results showed that self-esteem, emotional intelligence, and the concept of a good death had a score of 3.70±0.04 out of 5, 5.10±0.05 out of 7, and 3.16±0.02 out of 4, respectively. Self-esteem and emotional in telligence(r=.48, p<.001) and the concept of a good death(r=.14, p<.001) had a significant positive correlation. Emotional intelligence and the concept of a good death(r=.25, p=.001) also showed a significant positive correlation. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, programs should be developed and applied to improve the self-esteem and emotional intelligence of nursing students and form the concept of a good death.
