Solar power and geothermal energy are the main sources of renewable energy in Korea. Solar power is mainly used to generate electricity. Geothermal heat is mainly used for heating and cooling purposes. The pig house is an enclosed building similar to a building with people. In addition, pigs do not have sweat glands, so they cannot regulate their own body temperature, so heating and cooling facilities are essential. Therefore, this study was conducted to investigate the effect of the geothermal single heat source heat pump system on the power consumption of pigs and the growth of pigs. This study was conducted from October 29, 2020 to December 31, 2020 (8 weeks), and 20 piglets of ternary hybrid [(Landrace×Yorkshire) × Duroc] with an average weight of 6.95 kg were disclosed.
