Purpose: Physical education in school influences an active lifestyle, prevention of physical and mental problems, and improvement of academic performance. In other words, a high-quality physical activity program provided regularly has a wide range of positive effects not only on the body but also on the cognitive and affective areas. Accordingly, the recent school physical education curriculum tends to pursue holistic development encompassing all cognitive, mental, and emotional domains. The purpose of this study was to examine the influence relationship and mediating effect between physical activity participation motivation, physical activity adherence, and resilience.
Method: First, this study was conducted for male and female students in grades 5-6 of elementary school. Convenience sampling, one of the non-probability sampling methods, was used in consideration of accessibility and convenience. After distributing and collecting a total of 247 questionnaires, 4 copies of questionnaires that did not answer the entire construct were excluded from the subject, and 243 copies were used as final analysis data. Second, confirmatory factor analysis was performed to confirm that the same factor structure as that of previous studies was shown, and reliability was verified through cronbach"s α. Third, confirmatory factor analysis was carried out to verify the model fit for the entire single dimension and construct concept, and the centralized validity and discriminant validity were also verified. Fourth, it was reviewed whether the normal distribution condition was satisfied through skewness and kurtosis, and multicollinearity was confirmed through correlation analysis.
