The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the effect of the franchisor’s support and control on the satisfaction of franchisees and the operation intention of multi-unit, and to present practical implications based on meaningful results.
Management support and distribution support were derived as support attributes of the franchisor, and service control and environmental control were derived as control attributes.
As a result of the analysis, management support, distribution support, and service control were found to have a significant effect on franchisee’s satisfaction and intention of multi-unit operation. The environmental control had an effect on franchisee’s satisfaction but did not have an effect on intention of muti-unit operation. Finally, it was found that the franchisee’s satisfaction was found to have a significant effect on intention of multi-unit operation.
