The idiom expressing the emotional state of Russian ‘anger’ reflects the linguistic universality and unique cultural idiom based on universal human activities such as physical activity, brain activity, and emotional activity. In Russian idioms related to ‘anger’, physiological metonymy and conceptual metaphor interact to form a semantic structure. This is not a linear projection of one-to-one correspondence, but a directional metaphor that organizes the entire system based on the internal system of the spatialization metaphor. Directional metaphor is to give spatial orientation to certain concepts such as up-down, inside-outside, front-back, center-periphery, etc. The oriented metaphor of 'I'm feeling up now/I'm feeling down' is based on our daily experiential and cultural experiences. The external systematicity of the spatialization metaphor determines the coherence between the spatialization metaphors. For example, the spatialization metaphor of positive emotions gives [UP] orientation to general happiness, such as [Good is above], [Health is above], [Control is above], etc. On the other hand, the spatial orientation of the negative emotional expression of 'anger' is more dynamic than that of static emotional states such as ‘happiness’ or ‘sadness’. As an example of the incoherent external systemicity of the spatial metaphor of 'anger rises/the temperature of the fluid in the container increases', the negative emotion of 'anger' is directed toward [UP]. The negative emotion of 'anger' is based on the ‘container metaphor’ and the ‘metaphor of heat’, and it dynamically shows the way in which the emotion of 'anger' is vividly expressed the moving path of the emotional state through the ‘image schema’ of the spatial-oriented metaphor. Regarding the emotion of 'anger', the universality of the cognitive system is the basis, but in fact, when it is connected with a specific cultural model, it is not easy to find a clear correspondence between the concepts. Further, the more culturally constructed and historically based emotions are more variegated within individual cultures or more elaborated as conceptual metaphors. Therefore, these cultural idioms reflect the unique linguistic and cultural characteristics and linguistic worldview such as the unique cognitive mechanism and way of thinking of language subjects in the long history, they can be meaningful data for the study of the conceptual universality and specificity of emotions.
