Purpose To verify the effect of empowering leadership on job crafting, the mediating effect of intrinsic motivation, and the moderating effect of LMX.
Design/Methodology/Approach Based on theoretical research, this study puts forward 3 key research hypotheses and established a research model. /Data were collected from 508 knowledge workers in China by the survey method and SPSS26.0 programs.
Findings Empowering leadership is positively related to job crafting. Intrinsic motivation serves as the mediating variable and LMX as the moderating variable effect empowering leadership and job crafting.
Research Implications organizations should emphasize empowering self-initiated leadership behaviors, and the bottom-up management method can directly promote job crafting. Managers should encourage more ways to improve the LMX
