This study aimed to confirm the effect of body insight and commitment recognized by yoga participants on yoga satisfaction, examining the meditating effect of yoga commitment in the relationship between body insight and yoga satisfaction. Therefore, an online survey was performed from June 13 to July 12, 2022, targeting 400 adults participating in yoga at yoga centers in S city and K region. This study conducted an empirical analysis on a total of 349 valid samples, excluding data with insincere responses or missing data. Frequency analysis, descriptive statistical analysis, and exploratory factor analysis using the R language were conducted to analyze the collected data, followed by reliability and validity analysis. Finally, the research hypothesis was tested through PLS-SEM analysis, and the following results were derived through the above method. First, the test of the relationship between body insight and yoga satisfaction showed that body awareness of ‘comfort’ had a significant positive effect on yoga satisfaction. Second, the test of the relationship between yoga commitment and yoga satisfaction showed that both ‘cognitive commitment’ and ‘action commitment’ had a positive effect on yoga satisfaction. Third, according to the test of the mediating role of yoga commitment in the relationship between body insight and yoga satisfaction, ‘cognitive commitment’ mediated the relationship between body awareness of ‘comfort’, internal body awareness, and yoga satisfaction. In addition, ‘action commitment’ was found to mediate the relationship between internal body awareness and yoga satisfaction. This study suggests that improving body insight and yoga commitment can increase yoga satisfaction in order to enhance yoga participants" yoga satisfaction, proposing a strategy for improving yoga satisfaction by verifying their structural relationship. The results of this study can be provided as basic data for improving yoga satisfaction, which can contribute to the formation of theoretical and practical foundations for the expansion and development of yoga programs in the future.
