In this paper, we theorize Smart-agriculture adoption behavior incorporating three dimensions of risk, personal traits, and government support. Based on the UTAUT(Unified theory of acceptance and use of technology) skeleton, we extract significant attributes, regarded as worth investigating in the Smart-agriculture industry, as the constituents of the variables of risk, personal traits, and government support respectively. The formative second-order factor model is employed to measure the influential level of each attribute as the effective constituents of those three-dimensional variables. Afterward, empirical testing was conducted with the derived research model. The analysis to examine the validity of the model and the relational strength of the attributes to each second-order variable offers useful insight in addition to extant literature.
