The purpose of this study is to investigate how youth sports coaches use nonverbal communication. To meet this objective, an open-ended survey was conducted with 153 trainees who participated in a youth sports coaching certification program from 2021 to 2023. Data were analyzed through inductive content analysis, which revealed two main findings. Firstly, youth sports coaches in the field demonstrated positive nonverbal communication through encouraging positive contact, positive impressions, positive gestures, and positive vocal tones. Secondly, the negative nonverbal communication observed included hostile impressions and negative attitudes.
