As the importance of personal color has emerged in the beauty industry, related education has become important for beauty majors. However, due to the lack of research on personal color education programs, this study intends to conduct a survey on the actual status of the program and demands for educational content and present it as basic data so that it can serve as basic data for program development. In order to conduct this study, we analyzed and referred to previous research and reorganized the survey questions for the needs survey. We also conducted a needs survey on a total of 460 beauty majors and conducted data analysis with SPSS 25.0 version was used. The analysis results are as follows. First, 412 people were aware of personal color, but only 197 people had experience with personal color diagnosis and 140 people participated in the education program. In addition, makeup majors were found to have relatively high diagnostic experience and participation in educational programs compared to other majors. Second, the 140 people who had participated in the education program generally experienced it through school classes and generally participated once a week. Third, the appropriate number of training sessions was found to be once a week, 1 to 2 hours per session, and the teaching method was selected as lecture and practice blended class. Fourth, the content of the educational program showed that understanding of color and tone was most necessary. Collectively, these results are expected to serve as a basis for developing educational programs. In the future, there is a need to analyze the effectiveness of education developed program.
