The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of nutrition education using guidebook of nutrition and dietary for children. Dietary attitude, nutrition knowledge and dietary intake for higher grades elementary children. The subjects were 54 elementary school student (education group, 27 vs. non education group 27). The subject of each lessons were''Balanced diet'',''Smart food choice'',''Making a healthy snack'',''Making a healthy body''. Educated group were lessoned as group and/or individual. Nutrition education lessons(40 min/lesson, 1 time/week, 4 week) were took place with the guidebook; printed e-book developed by Korean Food and Drug Administration (KFDA). We assessed the changes in dietary attitude, food habit, nutrition knowledge using questionnaire and nutrient intake using 24hr recall method by the nutrition education. After education, we examined the differences in dietary attitudes, nutrition knowledge and dietary intake. In dietary attitude, there was a significantly difference in ''Taking a meal with salty and spicy food'' (p<0.05) in the education group compared to the non-education group. In nutrition knowledge, there were positive improvements on''function of protein (p<0.05)'',''function of fat (p<0.05)'',''food of carbohydrate (p<0.01)'',''food of fat (p<0.05)'',''food of vitamin (p<0.05)'',''food of mineral (p<0.01)'' in the educated group. After education, in CPF(carbohydrate, protein, fat) ratio; education group 60:15:23 vs. non-education group 61:15:23. In the index of nutrition quality(INQ) on ''Vitamin C'' (p<0.05) significantly increased in educated group. In the nutrition adequacy ratio (NAR) on Vitamin C (p<0.05), Fe (p<0.05) and Zinc (p<0.05), significantly increased in educated group compared to the non-education group. In the mean nutrition adequacy ratio (MAR) were little change. In satisfaction with nutrition education pamphlet were positive improvements over 4.1/5.0 score. In conclusion, 4 times'' nutrition education using guidebook for nutrition and dietary for children, there were positive change on nutrition knowledge, dietary behavior and nutrient intake of elementary school students.
