The purpose of this study was to investigate the structural model among motivation of participation, specialization, leisure commitment and leisure identity of extreme sports. The subjects of this study were collected 197’ s participation of extreme sports in Yeongnam and Kyunggi-region in Korea. The survey questionnaires were used to collect the data. The questionnaires for motivation of participation had been developed by Peletier, Tuson, & Haddad(1997), specialization had been developed by McIntyre(1992) and Jung et al., (2006), exercise commitment had been developed by Jung(1997), and leisure identity had been developed by Park(2002) and Pyo(2011). The statistical methods such as corelational analysis and structural equation model analysis were used to analyze the collected data for the this research goal by Spss .12. version and Amos 8.0 version.
From the analyses of the data, the study reached the following conclusions : Firstly, There were showed in the structural relationship partly between motivation of participation and specialization of extreme sports. Secondly, There were showed in the structural relationship model partly between motivation of participation and leisure commitment of extreme sports. Thirdly, There were showed in the casual relationship between specialization and leisure commitment of extreme sports. Forthly, There were not showed in the casual relationship betweem specialization and leisure identity of extreme sports. Fifthly, There were showed in the casual relationship betweem leisure commitment and leisure identity of extreme sports.
