The purpose of this research was to analyze the causes neglected in physical education classes of elementary school. To achieve the purpose of this study, the research method used in this study was the qualitative case study. Participants of this study were consisted of six elementary school teachers(3 males and 3 female) in Kyunggi Province, Korea. In order to collect the data needed for the study, qualitative research data collection methods were used: nonparticipant observation, documents gathering and in-depth interview. Colby`s cause-chain approach were transform into used to analyze collected data where by the methods of transcription, encoding, categorization, subject formation. The validity and the reliability of this study were verified by triangulation, member checking and peer debriefing. And make effort to enhance the research`s morality. The analysis resulted in the fact that physical education class neglect was sub-categorized into the cause of 10 kinds. The major results of the analyses on this study are as follows. why the physical education classes neglected at elementary schools was, in summary, its poor connectivity to other subjects, teachers` recognition that it is less important than other subjects, lack of teachers` professional skills and teaching materials, climatic conditions and frequent school events and miscellaneous tasks likely to act as heavy burden upon teachers.
