This study is to explore the influence which the leader`s charisma has on students` reliance on their leader and the self-efficacy has on coaching effectiveness. For this study, undergraduates majoring in Taekwondo took part in this survey during the last Fall semester. Out of 402 copies of the questionnaire, 382 copies were used for the final analysis. For statistical data handling, SPSS 13.0 was used on an exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and AMOS 7.0 on an confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis. The findings of the study were as follows: First, out of the factors of Taekwondo leaders` charisma leadership, the exemplary deed and expectation, and the reliance-expressing behaviour have a positive influence on reliance upon leaders. Second, out of the factors of Taekwondo leaders` charisma leadership, the vision express deed has a positive influence on self-efficacy. Third, reliance on leader seems to have a positive influence on the outcome of sporting life which is a subfactor of coaching effectiveness. Finally, self-efficacy has a positive influence on the immersement in sport which is a sub-factor of coaching effectiveness. In conclusion, this study shows that Taekwondo leaders` charisma leadership has a greatly positive influence on leadership reliance, self-efficacy, and coaching effectiveness.
