The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of no falls exercise program on functional fitness in the community-dwelling elderly. A total of 45 healthy elderly who were between 65 to 69 years (n=15), between 70 to 74 year (n=15) and over 75 year (n=15) of age group participated in this study. No falls exercise program was involved in the period of 12 week complex training for around 60 minutes a day, three times per week which were composed in warm-up, stretching, elastic band strengthing, balance, proprioceptive neuromuscular training and cool-down. We measured functional fitness by short physical performance battery(SPPB), timed up go(TUG), one leg standing with closed eyes and maximal step length(MSL). Collected data were statically analyzed by SPSS PC win 15.0/PC for by wilcoxon signed ranked test and kruskal-wallis test. Results were as follows; 1. There were statically significant differences in SPPB(p<.05>, TUG(p<.05), One leg standing with closed eyes(p<.05) and MSL(p<.05) between pre and post in 65~69 years group, 70~74 years group and over 75 years group. 2. Among 65~69 years group, 70~74 years group and over 75 years group, there were only statically significant difference in one leg standing with closed eyes(p<.05). Therefore, no falls exercise improve functional fitness and balance.
