To accurately analuyze the shaft performance of clubs from different manufacturers, a robot swing machine was set at 95mph, in conjunction with the Trackman device, to measure the stiff strength of shafts of 6 50g clubs and 6 60g clubs.
1. The conclusive result of 6 50g stiff strength shafts showed that varying from manufacturer to manufacturer, the distance, the ballspeed, the shot efficiency, the number of spins, and the launch angle, had statistically significant differences in the result.
2. The conclusive result of 6 60g stiff strength shafts showed that varying from manufacturer to manufacturer, the distance, the ball speed, the shot efficiency, the number of spins, and the launch angle, had significant variations in the statistical results.
When all the required data were assembled, it was concluded that even when the weight and the strength of the shafts were identical, the performance of individual shafts varied from manufacturer to manufacturer. Consequently, when choosing a driver club’s shaft, one should not merely make the decision based on the brand’s name value, its associated golf professional, nor how commercialized and widespread the brand is. It is of utmost importance to consider one’s age, physical state, swing style, and other tailored specifics. It is recommended that one should test and exasperate various shafts from different manufacturers in order to find the one most suited for every individual.
