Since the introduction of christian world-view in the early 1980’s in Korea, the issue of christian world-view has changed christians’ understanding of both the substance of faith and christian way of life from unconditional faith to holistic faith. Nevertheless, this change has only impacted on undergraduates and young scholars in Korea at that time. Until now, main pastors have little concern on the issue of christian world-view, without knowing the importance of the issue in terms of the transformation of the people"s way of seeing and thinking.
The recent crisis of Korean churches has raised questions on the substance of christian faith, christian way of thinking, and christian way of life. Many people are leaving churches, failing to find the meaning of life in the churches. To approach as a ‘plausibility structure’ to the next generation in Korea, Korean churches need to have a new understanding of christian world-view out of unconditional faith. To achieve this purpose, this article is trying to study the introduction of christian world-view in Korea, the debates on christian world-view, the development of discussion of christian world-view, and christian world-view in a post-modern age, followed by the concluding remark.
