The Relationship between the using Mobile Phone and Mental Health State of High School Students Song, Eun Ju1) 1) Department of Nursing, Jeonbuk Science College Purpose: This study examined the using situations and the following concerned factors of mobile phone in high school and analyzing the relationship between the use of mobile phone and mental health. Method: Of total 556 students who were in the 1st, 2nd in two high school in I city in Jeollabukdo, 361 sincere students who owned the mobile phone were recruited as subjects. The data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson Correlation with the SPSS 12.0 program. Result: Of the highest concerned items in the relationships between the addiction of mobile phone and between mental health and psychoticism was r=.374(p=.000), and the relationships between the addition of mobile phone and the total score of mental health was r=.347(p=.000). So they correlated each other and were significant. Conclusion: Between addictive use of mobile phone and mental health are correlated with each other. So adolescents should be educated so that they can use usefully and healthfully from the first use of mobile phone by them in home and school. Therefore let's definitely clarify the concept of mobile phone addiction and inform people of how serious it is. In addition, prevention program and practical treatment methods which to reduce the addiction of mobile phone will be developed in the future.
