The objective of this study is to promote the improvement of job satisfaction by suggesting the improvement measures for goal setting and goal commitment targeting hairdressers, to maximize the efficiency of human resources in the beauty industry. As the research methods, the literature research and survey were combined. Going through the preliminary research and main research targeting the hairdressers in Seoul and Gyeonggi regions, with the use of SPSS 21.0 Program, total 346 questionnaires were analyzed through the frequency analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, and multiple regression analysis. In the results of this study, first, the clarity of goal setting and sub-levels of goal orientation showed partially and significantly positive and negative influence relationships with organizational commitment and job dissatisfaction of job satisfaction, and sub-levels of job satisfaction, so that the improvement of job satisfaction could be expected through the improvement of goal setting. Second, the goal commitment showed significantly positive relationships with organizational commitment of job satisfaction, and sub-levels of job satisfaction, so that the improvement of goal commitment could be led to the settlement of positive job satisfaction. In conclusion, the improvement of goal setting and goal commitment of hairdressers would be contributing to the formation of high-grade job satisfaction, which would be led to the provision of positive services to customers.
