개요 : 유방촬영에서 보이는 석회화를 초음파로 관찰할 때 크거나 군집성으로 되어있는 경우 보일 수 있으나, 밀도가 낮은 희미한 미세석회화의 경우는 관찰하기 어려울 수 있다. 따라서 조직검사가 필요한 경우 수술적 절제 혹은 컴퓨터계측 유방촬영유도하 맘모톰 조직검사(Stereotactic Vacuum-Assisted Breast Biopsy; VABB)를 진행해야 한다. 조직검사 결과 아직 유방암이라고 명확하게 결론이 나지 않았지만 유방암과는 분명히 관련성이 있다고 보고되어지는 편평상피이형성(Flat Epithelial Atypia; FEA)은 저등급 관상피내암(DCIS)의 전구병변 혹은 위험인자로 알려지면서 최근엔 조직검사에서 FEA가 나온 경우 수술을 시행한 결과 DCIS를 포함할 진단률이 6~25%까지 보고되고 있다. Breast Cancer Res Treat 논문에 따르면 FEA로 진단될 경우 완전 절제로 최종 조직검사를 확인하라고 되어있어 수술 전 조직검사의 필요성이 요구된다.

환자 : 아르헨티나거주. 2020년 10월 last mammo, breast sono로 정기검사 받음. 6월 아르헨티나로 갈 예정.
