Background/Aims
Inguinal Dissection is an integral part in many surgical oncological procedures, but it comes with a very high skin complication rate.
A new minimally invasive, endoscopic technique promises to decrease skin complications by taking the port sites away from the inguinal region, notorious for its skin complications. By entering distal from the apex of the femoral triangle, above the knee, a retrograde dissection is performed and an inguinal dissection is performed with the same boundaries as the open procedure.
Herein we present an instructional video to present the technique to encourage others to perform this simple, feasible surgical procedure.
Methods
