The purpose of this study was to comparative analysis on body composition and anaerobic exercise capacity according to the type of combat sports. The subjects were 12 striking combat sport groups and 12 grappling combat sport groups with similar weight division. Measurement items were body composition (height, weight, skeletal muscle mass, fat mass, body mass index, body fat percentage, waist hip ratio) and anaerobic exercise capacity (absolute peak power, absolute average power, relative peak power, relative average power, fatigue index, sergeant jump). Main results were as follows: 1) There was no significant difference between the groups in all variables of body composition and anaerobic exercise capacity. 2) In the striking combat sport groups, weight and body mass index were positively correlated at absolute peak power and absolute average power. And skeletal muscle mass were positively correlated with absolute average power. 3) In the grappling combat sport groups, weight, skeletal muscle mass, and body mass index were positively correlated at absolute peak power and absolute average power. And waist hip ratio were positively correlated at relative peak power and relative average power. On the other hand, body fat percentage showed a negative correlation with sergeant jump. As a results, there was here was no difference in body composition and anaerobic exercise capacity in striking and grappling combat sport players in the same weight division, and the correlation between body composition and anaerobic exercise capacity was found to differ according to the characteristics of each sport.
