The purpose of this study was to investigate parallel dual mediation effects of self-esteem and academic attitude on the relationship between negative parenting attitude and career adapt-ability of adolescents. The subjects were from the National Youth Policy Institute’s 2018 Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS 2018), and we performed data analysis on 2,265 subjects. Results obtained from the parallel dual mediation analysis using SPSS 23.0 and PROCESS macro 4.0, model 4 were as follows. First, negative parenting attitude has a significant effect on career adapt-ability. Second, self-esteem appeared to partially mediate the relationship between negative parenting attitude and career adapt-ability of adolescents. Third, academic attitude appeared to partially mediate the relationship between negative parenting attitude and career adapt-ability of adolescents. These results provided an opportunity to expand the results of existing studies by verifying the mediating effects of self-esteem and academic attitude in the path of adolescents’ negative parenting attitude to career adapt-ability. Implications and suggestions were presented based on the research results.
