This study attempted to analyze the relationship between transformational leadership and job performance in child care facilities, and the mediating effect of positive psychological capital in the relationship between transformational leadership and job performance. To conduct this study, a total of 413 questionnaires were collected from child care teachers working in the metropolitan area between July 31 and August 30, 2023. Excluding 31 insincere responses, a final 382 questionnaires were selected and used SPSS 22.0. Statistical analysis was performed.
The research results showed that transformational leadership had a positive (+) effect on job performance and also had a positive(+) effect on positive psychological capital. Positive psychological capital was found to have a positive(+) effect on job performance, and positive psychological capital showed a positive(+) mediating effect in the relationship between transformational leadership and job performance.
The results of this study demonstrated that transformational leadership tends to improve job performance, and both transformational leadership and positive psychological capital had a significant impact on the job performance of organizational members. These research results can contribute to the success of the organization by verifying the effectiveness of transformational leadership in childcare facilities.
