The objective of this study is to investigate the effect of characteristic of employment relationship for food service industry employee on job satisfaction and turnover intention. This study on the basis of preceding researches the effect of characteristic of employment relationship for food service industry employee on job satisfaction and turnover intention. To investigate measuring device, both permanent and temporary workers of 10 restaurant industries in Seoul were included in the population for the study from on July 1 to July 20 in 2013. For the study, 400 questionnaires were sent out. At the end of the data collection period, 331(82.8%) completed surveys were returned except from surveys were returned blank.
In conclusion, this study indicates the way to improve job satisfaction of workers in organization. First, companies should provide job security by making a stable hiring policy, presenting long-term vision, and increasing employment period in a part of compensation fairness or employment guarantee. Next, they should introduce a hiring policy like track meet, mentoring and management system of achievement. Then, job satisfaction will be improved and turnover intention will be reduced. As a result, it will help companies grow through efficient use of manpower.
