The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of education service quality perception on self-esteem and career consciousness by using SPSS Version 20.0 statistical program for catering majors of four-year colleges in Jeonbuk. The statistical techniques used were frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and regression analysis. As a result of the hypothesis verification, first, the recognition of educational service quality (tangible, reliability, certainty, empathy, responsiveness) has a positive effect on self-esteem. Second, education service quality awareness (empathy, reliability, tangible) was found to have a positive effect on career consciousness. Third, self-esteem was found to have a positive effect on career consciousness. Therefore, it was found that in order to increase self-esteem and career consciousness of catering majors, it is necessary to construct educational service quality considering the effects of empathy. Based on the results of these studies, the importance of education service quality in the catering and cooking class was identified, and strategic implications and future research directions for improving education service quality were presented.
