The crisis of national food security due to COVID-19 pandemic and the uncertainty of securing resources have raised concerns in the fishery industry. In addition, global warming and the depletion of fish stocks due to overfishing of fisheries has increased the demand for energy-intensive innovations to reduce carbon and develop environmentally friendly policies.
In the food industry, including the seafood industry, promoting creative and technologic innovation to advance the industrial structure and address future needs must be incorporated into the overall industrial value chain.
