This study was conducted to investigate the effect of a 60-minute daily gymnastics exercise program on body composition and blood lipid improvement, 3 times a week for 12 weeks, targeting female elderly people in rural areas. By analyzing the research results, the following conclusions were drawn. First, the weight of the exercise group decreased significantly (p<.01) after the exercise group, and the weight of the control group increased significantly (p<.05) after the exercise group. There was no significant difference in muscle mass between the two groups. Body fat percentage decreased significantly (p<.05) in the exercise group and increased significantly (p<.05) in the control group after the exercise group. BMI increased significantly (p<.01) in the control group, but did not change in the exercise group. Second, TC decreased significantly (p<.001) in the exercise group and increased in the control group. HDL-C increased significantly (p<.01) in the exercise group, but did not change in the control group. LDL-C increased significantly (p<.05) in the control group, but there was no statistically significant difference in the exercise group. TG decreased significantly (p<.01) in the exercise group and increased significantly (p<.05) in the control group. Summarizing the above conclusions, the 12-week gymnastics exercise program will be an effective exercise for improving blood lipids that can cause chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease along with positive changes in body composition for elderly women in rural areas, and will lead a healthy life in old age. It is hoped that this will help maintain.
