The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of airline frequent flyer programs service quality on customer satisfaction and loyalty in the airline industry in order to develop strategies to maintain customers. The airline industry is currently experiencing financial hardships due to bankruptcy and rising oil prices. The only way to survive these difficult times is to cultivate good relationships with customers and establish strategies to retain loyal customers. The survey was conducted from August 22, 2017 to September 19, 2017 for star-alliance members. The survey distributed a total of 600 copies for airline commercial customers and collected 528 copies. An empirical analysis was conducted with the final 498 valid samples, excluding 30 unfair questionnaires. Statistical analysis was performed using frequency analysis, technical analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, and regression analysis using SPSS 22.0. The results of empirical analysis are summarized as follows. First, in relation to frequent flyer programs" service quality and customer satisfaction, only tangibility, understanding and responsiveness, and assurance of factors influenced customer satisfaction. Second, customer satisfaction positively influenced customer loyalty. To maintain customer loyalty, airlines have to provide customers information about frequent flyer programs and develop a variety of different programs. Third, in the relationship between frequent flyer program service quality and customer loyalty, only tangibility and understanding of factors influenced customer loyalty.
